These chickens are certified organic and pasture raised. This means they have been fed certified organic feed (much of which is locally grown in Armstrong) from the day they hatched! They spend their early days in the brooder barn, keeping warm with the help of heat lamps and away from predators when they are at their most vulnerable. After a few weeks they are moved outside.
