Fresh Valley Farms is proud to partner with Pete’s Feed, a family-owned organic feed mill based right here in Armstrong, BC. Pete’s Feed is run by Peter and Brandi van Deursen, who have built their business around quality, hard work, and care for both animals and community.
At Fresh Valley Farms, our chicks receive a nutritionally balanced organic feed from Pete’s Feed, along with access to diverse pasture forage and grit to support digestion. Our poultry program is built around careful daily management, strong nutrition, and a healthy outdoor environment. Good feed is a key part of that system.
We take an ecosystem approach to stewardship on our farm. That includes the soil, the pasture, the animals, and the microbiome that supports animal health. For poultry, balanced feed helps support gut health, steady growth, and strong overall condition. It is one of the many small, important choices that shape the quality of the food we raise.

Peter is a fifth-generation farmer, and that agricultural background shows in the quality of the feed and the practical knowledge behind it.
