What the ROVA|BARN does
The ROVA|BARN from UKKÖ Robotics is a self-moving, solar-powered pasture barn designed to care for livestock the way a farmer would, just with far less physical strain and time pressure. It moves daily across pasture, giving animals constant access to fresh ground while evenly distributing fertility back onto the land. Feed, water, ventilation, and environmental controls are all built into the unit.
Each barn includes onboard feed and water, intelligent ventilation, temperature control, and live monitoring. Farmers can track conditions and animal activity through a mobile app that provides 24/7 live data, movement scheduling, feed and water updates, and live video and audio feeds. The result is pasture-raised livestock with the benefits of a high-tech barn, without permanent infrastructure.

Designed by farmers and engineers
UKKÖ Robotics was founded in 2016 by Daniel Badiou and Katrina Jean-Laflamme, a team of Canadian engineers based in Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, Manitoba.
Daniel grew up on a dairy farm and developed a deep understanding of agricultural machinery and animal systems from an early age. His first autonomous barn was designed and tested on his own farm to better understand real-world farming needs.
Partnering with mechanical engineer Katrina Jean-Laflamme, UKKÖ Robotics focused on creating an all-in-one autonomous pasture barn that farmers could rely on every day. Their approach combines engineering, on-farm testing, and a clear respect for livestock and land.
