Feast and Harvest Season

It is fall!

The leaves are turning and the nights are cooling, slowly but surely. It feels like summer is dragging his heels on the way out the door– The moon is now waning and we are just two nights past this year’s Harvest Moon.

Friends have already been visiting local pumpkin patches, and lawnmowing seems to have really slowed down in the neighbourhood. The variegated greens and yellows in the forest show us just where the deciduous trees are getting ready to drop their mulch, and soon the larches will be alight up in the hills above the farm.

We’re in the final stretch to Thanksgiving now, and big weekend brunches are encouraged, so to help support the cause… bacon is on sale.

Our favourite feast centerpiece of late has been the pork loin roast, reverse seared for maximum juiciness.

Soon we will be restocking Unearthed Organics glorious many-coloured beans so keep an eye open for that, and the little layers have still not started laying so fingers crossed that production starts soon and grows swiftly!

For those of you interested in ordering whole or half lambs this year, the time has now come to make your selections! Pre ordered lambs will be available for pick up mid November with smaller cuts becoming available for usual orders on our website shortly after. Here is a link to our google form where you can indicate your preferences, and please note that lamb is available on a first come first served basis, with limited supply.

With gratitude,

Spearmint lip balm is back in stock. This balm is incredible and is made with our organic lard and beeswax from Wild Antho.
