Fresh Valley Farms runs on people who care deeply about land, animals, and good food. We are a small, hands-on team working together every day to raise certified organic food and steward this farm for the long term. From pasture management to order packing, every role matters.

Annelise Grube-Cavers

Annelise Grube-Cavers is a third-generation farmer and the co-owner and co-operator of Fresh Valley Farms. She leads the farm’s vision, operations, and community connections, with a focus on regenerative agriculture, certified organic production, and building a resilient local food system.

Beyond the farm, Annelise is active in agricultural leadership across British Columbia. She serves on provincial committees, supports organic agriculture policy, and regularly speaks about farming, food, and land stewardship. At home, she loves cooking, sharing meals, and raising food alongside her two young kids.

Steve Meggait

Steve Meggait is a fourth-generation farmer and the co-owner and co-operator of Fresh Valley Farms. He manages livestock systems, fencing, and infrastructure projects across the farm. With more than a decade of experience in rotational grazing, Steve focuses on practical systems that improve soil health, animal welfare, and farm efficiency.

Steve also supports customers and other farmers through grazing plans and electric fencing setup, helping more farms move toward pasture-based systems that work.

The farm team

Fresh Valley Farms is supported by a dedicated crew who help make everything possible. Our team includes livestock caretakers, order packers, delivery drivers, and seasonal workers who bring skill, care, and attention to their work.

Many of our team members return year after year. They help move fences, manage animals, pack orders, maintain equipment, and keep the farm running smoothly through every season. Their work ensures that food is raised responsibly and that customers receive products they can trust.

We believe good farming is built on strong relationships. That includes the people who work here, the families who buy our food, and the land that supports us all.

Farm Partners

Good farming does not happen in isolation. It is built on relationships, shared knowledge, and trusted suppliers. Fresh Valley Farms works closely with a network of farm partners and agricultural suppliers who share our values.

We collaborate with neighbouring organic farmers, processors, and local food businesses to strengthen the regional food system. From custom butchering and certified organic inputs to fencing suppliers and grazing equipment dealers, these partnerships help us farm well and serve our customers with confidence.

We also partner with other farmers who produce food and goods that complement our own. By working together, we support diversified family farms and keep more food dollars circulating in the Okanagan, Shuswap, Thompson, and Kootenay regions.
