Fresh Valley Farms is proud to partner with Wild Antho, a third-generation beekeeping family based in Armstrong, British Columbia. Wild Antho produces exceptional raw honey and provides essential apiary services that support healthy farms, resilient food systems, and thriving pollinator populations across the North Okanagan and Shuswap.
Meet the Beekeepers: Emily and Shayne
Wild Antho is run by Emily and Shayne, full-time beekeepers whose lives have been shaped by bees from the very beginning. Their work is grounded in decades of hands-on experience, deep respect for honey bee biology, and a strong belief in community-based agriculture. Their motto says it well. Sweet hives. Sweet humans. Sweet honey.
Raw honey with integrity
Wild Antho honey is kept as close to its natural state as possible. It is raw and unpasteurized, never overheated, and carefully extracted to preserve natural enzymes, floral character, and texture. The result is honey that reflects the landscape it comes from, with subtle seasonal variation and depth of flavour.
Their bee yards are primarily located on organic farms and nearby wild lands, which aligns closely with our own values at Fresh Valley Farms. This shared approach helps support healthy ecosystems while producing honey that people trust and enjoy.
Apiary services that support agriculture
Beyond honey, Wild Antho plays a critical role in regional agriculture through professional apiary services. Their work helps support crop production, biodiversity, and farm resilience. We are happy to have their bee hives on our farm on a regular basis.
They offer:
- Queen bee breeding focused on hardy, locally adapted Canadian stock
- Pollination services for agricultural crops throughout the Okanagan starting in early spring
- Nucleus colonies raised with queens bred on their own farm
Their queen breeding program emphasizes traits that matter in Canadian conditions, including strong brood patterns, winter hardiness, hygienic behaviour, and manageable temperament. This long-term, selective approach supports healthier hives and stronger beekeeping outcomes across the region.
A shared commitment to community
Wild Antho’s story is rooted in family, land, and collaboration. As third-generation beekeepers, they rely on and contribute to strong local networks of farmers, producers, and customers. That community-first mindset is a big reason we value this partnership.
We are proud to carry Wild Antho raw honey as part of our pantry offerings and to support their work through direct collaboration. Their care for bees, land, and people shows in every jar.
